Trip Behavior
Guest agrees to adhere to the following Karuna Project Guest Behavior, Drug, and Alcohol Policies.
· No harassment of any other guests, guides, or local people
· Display cultural sensitivity and respect for the local culture and people.
· Respect the instructions and decisions of all guides and trip leaders.
· Comply with all local, US, or country-of-origin laws and policies.
· If of legal drinking age, refrain from alcohol use that impairs judgment or motor skills, jeopardizes safety, or causes loud lude behavior.
· No possession or use of any illegal local, US, or country-of-origin substance
Guest acknowledges and agrees that Karuna Project may change the trip itinerary at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion. These changes may range from changing planned routes, travel logistics, or lodging ahead of trip departure, to making decisions regarding activities in the moment due to weather, group and individual health, civil unrest, government influences, unsafe situations, or other factors affecting the trip and group.
Karuna Project may remove or evacuate a guest from the trip at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion, for any behavior that may endanger Karuna Project’s personnel, guests, contractors, and vendors, or Karuna Projects’s reputation with personnel, guests, contractors, and vendors. Such behavior includes but is not limited to: violation of any Karuna Project’s policies, intoxication, unwillingness or inability to follow instructions, rudeness to other guests, guides (including sexual harassment), or locals, possession of any contraband or weapons, etc.
If Guest is removed or evacuated from the trip, Guest is responsible for all expenses from that point forward. Guest will not receive a refund from Karuna Project. Guest will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety. Guest agrees to release and indemnify Karuna Project, its employees, contractors, and representatives from any liability resulting from Karuna Project booting Guest from the trip.
Karuna Project may remove a guest from the trip at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion, if the guest’s health or physical condition is such that it may endanger the guest or others.
If Guest is removed from the Trip for reasons related to health or physical condition, Karuna Project may, but is not obligated to, work with Guest to secure alternative travel arrangements.
Guest may leave the trip at any time. However, Guest acknowledges that there will be times when it will be extremely dangerous to leave the trip. Ultimately, Karuna Project cannot control a Guest’s decision to leave the trip or group, and Guest acknowledges this risk, assumes all risk associated with leaving the trip or group, and agrees to release and indemnify Karuna Project, its employees, contractors, and representatives from any liability arising from Guest’s decision to leave the trip.
