We are honored to announce a powerful new collaboration between Karuna Project and the Paititi Institute, a partnership designed to bridge ancestral Amazonian wisdom with Tibetan Buddhist principles, all in service of personal, communal, and planetary transformation.
In October 2026, we will bring this shared vision to life in Nepal through a two‑week immersive journey that blends inner development, cultural exchange, and meaningful service.
Trip Dates: October 17–31, 2026
Where Ancient Traditions Meet Modern Purpose
This journey is built on a simple but profound belief: inner transformation fuels outer change.

Together with the Paititi Institute, we will explore how Amazonian ancestral teachings and Tibetan Buddhist frameworks complement one another—two lineages, two hemispheres, one shared intention.
Participants will engage in facilitated practices that support:
emotional and energetic healing
expanded awareness
grounded leadership
compassionate action
embodied connection to self, community, and place
This is not a retreat. It is a living classroom.
Sustainable Tourism Work in Kakani
Our journey begins in Kakani, a village north of Kathmandu where Karuna Project has been engaged in long‑term, community‑centered development.
Here, we will work alongside local partners on a sustainable tourism initiative designed to strengthen economic resilience while honoring cultural integrity. This is hands‑on, heart‑forward work—an opportunity to contribute to a project that will continue to benefit the community long after we leave.

A Seven‑Day Trek Through Langtang
After our time in Kakani, we head into the mountains for a seven‑day trek through the Langtang region, one of Nepal’s most culturally rich and visually stunning valleys.
Along the way, we’ll experience:
Tamang and Tibetan‑influenced villages
sweeping glacial landscapes
sacred sites and monasteries
daily practices that weave together the teachings of both lineages

At the journey’s high point, participants will have two options:
Option 1: Summit Tserko Ri (16,350 ft / 4,984 m)
A challenging but deeply rewarding climb offering panoramic views of Langtang Lirung and the surrounding Himalayan giants.
Option 2: A Day of Contemplation at Kyanjin Gompa
For those who prefer stillness over altitude, a full day of meditation, rest, and reflection at the monastery—an equally powerful path.
Both choices honor the spirit of the journey: listening to your body, your intuition, and your inner teacher.

Why This Partnership Matters
Karuna Project and Paititi Institute share a commitment to:
cultural humility
reciprocity
long‑term community relationships
inner development as a catalyst for global change
honoring the wisdom traditions that have guided humanity for generations
This trip is the meeting point of those values, a rare opportunity to learn, serve, and transform in one of the most spiritually charged landscapes on Earth.
