Seth Quigg M.A.

Seth Quigg is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in Outdoor Education and International Adventure Travel. Since 2002, he has guided thousands of participants on expeditions spanning the globe, from the lush rainforests of Madagascar to the remote peaks of the Himalayas. His extensive leadership experience includes fourteen expeditions in the Himalayas, thirteen in the Andes, and four ascents, guiding on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Seth is a world-class river guide who has guided international rivers such as the Zambezi, Maha Kali, Salmon, Kern, Colorado, and Zanskar, in addition to multiple expeditions in the North American Arctic. In 2015, Seth founded his own international travel company, specializing in crafting transformative outdoor experiences. He has collaborated with numerous non-profit and commercial organizations to develop impactful and sustainable expeditions worldwide. In conjunction with adventure, Seth is deeply committed to fostering cultural connections. He strives to create opportunities for guests to engage meaningfully with local communities, cultivating empathy and mutual understanding. A core component of his philosophy is introducing participants to diverse lifestyles, inspiring a broader global perspective. Seth is a professional humanitarian photographer, holds a master's degree in education, is a certified wilderness first responder, and is a pioneer in bridging cultural and socioeconomic divides worldwide.

Nicole Blaser LL.M.
Co-Founder
Director of Business Operations & Sustainability
Nicole has over 20 years of experience and 200+ remote unsupported weeks instructing and guiding wilderness expeditions worldwide. Her outdoor career began at 18 years old, trail building with the Student Conservation Association. Her high-elevation technical mountain ascents include Kilimanjaro, Mt Kenya, Denali, Logan, Illimani & Sajama Andes, Everest Base Camp, etc. Nicole is technically trained and is a trainer in a variety of advanced climbing, snow science, wilderness, remote medical, and risk management skills. Career highlights include training 15 Navy Seals on a 30-day mountaineering expedition in the Eastern Alaska Range, being the 1st female to snowboard down Denali, sailing the world's longest ocean passage for 34 days in a 30ft boat - Baja to Marquesas, and ascending Mt Logan on a split board with the only 2003 team to successfully traverse the technical icefall. With director roles at Big City Mountaineers, the Conservation Corps, and the National Outdoor Leadership School, she understands nonprofit and business management. She is dedicated to providing transformational opportunities and the global movement toward a sustainable planet to elevate wellbeing for all humans. Pursuing an Environmental Law and Policy degree is her current endeavor. Her wellness practice includes a Sivananda Center 200-hour yoga teacher certification, 500-hour advanced teacher certification, annual study of the philosophy and practical application of yoga, and four 3-month meditation programs at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center.

Namche enjoys playing ball and shredding sticks inside the office and has over four years of experience cross-country skiing while chasing ski racers. He most enjoys brightening the office mood.
Your Guides
Seth and Nicole run the Karuna Project philanthropic business, and one or both will be your guide on our adventures. Each has over 20 years of adventure travel and wilderness guiding experience. Their credentials include a variety of wilderness emergency medicine and risk management certifications including many years of practical experience and training others in these fields. We are here to take good care of you from sign-up to post-travel reflections. Reach out to us with anything from preparation tips to unique requests.
